AVP, Consumer IT Operations Manager
About The Position
The Consumer IT Operations Manager is a strategic partner to the SVP, Head of Consumer Bank Development, helping streamline operations, align departmental work, drive critical initiatives, and support effective decision-making. The role combines strategic planning, program management, internal communications, and operational excellence to help the Consumer IT department operate efficiently and stay aligned with strategic priorities. It supports organizational accountability and culture, and coordinates initiatives, resources, governance, risk management, and compliance. This is an on-site position at Axos Bank’s headquarters in San Diego, California.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree.
- At least 3 years of experience in management consulting, operations, strategy, or executive support roles.
- Exceptional organizational skills.
- Strong analytical skills and business acumen.
- Excellent written and verbal communication abilities.
- High emotional intelligence, discretion, and a proactive mindset.

Responsibilities
- Support the SVP, Head of Consumer Bank Development in developing and executing strategic plans.
- Coordinate and track progress on strategic initiatives across departments.
- Prepare briefings, dashboards, and reports for executive decision-making.
- Serve as a liaison between the SVP and internal and external stakeholders.
- Draft and review communications, presentations, and reports.
- Identify and resolve bottlenecks in organizational processes.
- Coordinate cross-functional projects and ensure timely delivery of outcomes.
- Oversee internal communications and promote interdepartmental collaboration.
- Support annual IT budgeting, forecasting, and resource planning.
- Monitor departmental spending and resource allocation to support fiscal responsibility.
- Serve as a sounding board and thought partner to the Consumer IT leadership team.
- Champion company values and help shape organizational culture.
- Facilitate leadership team meetings and planning sessions.
- Maintain Consumer IT policies, standards, and governance frameworks.
- Drive risk management and compliance initiatives, including audit readiness and data privacy.
