About The Position

The Consumer Healthcare Business Development Manager is responsible for driving hospital penetration in top markets. This role serves as the account manager and business builder for an assigned number of health systems within a geographic territory. The ideal candidate will build and maintain relationships with key facility staff in assigned markets to increase hospital conversions, share of births, and overall HUGGIES retail market share. The role focuses on winning with consumers and the market, while prioritizing safety, mutual respect, and human dignity.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree
  • Minimum 5+ years of demonstrated success in healthcare sales
  • Proficiency with PC-based applications (Windows, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint)
  • Strong oral and written communication skills
  • Proof of successful sales track record
  • Comfortable in a hospital setting and engaging at healthcare conferences
  • Clean driving record required

Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement sales strategy and proposals, including account planning and prioritization, account-specific value propositions, and key steps/resources to win new business.
  • Build relationships and collaborate with all decision-making contacts, including maternal healthcare professionals, Supply Chain, Value Analysis, Distribution Sales Professionals, and GPO Field Professionals.
  • Act as a Brand Ambassador for multiple nurse and healthcare professional conferences, managing coordinator materials, booth setup, connections, and follow-up to maximize ROI.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop and implement solutions for health systems.
  • Partner with marketing and brand teams to develop and implement hospital branding initiatives.
  • Meet administrative responsibilities and performance objectives to measure progress, deliver business results, and model global leadership qualities.
  • Provide education, sales analysis, in-service training, trial and evaluation, conversion implementation assistance, and after-sales support.
  • Conduct in-depth financial and business analysis of the customer base.
  • Support and implement Corporate and GPO National Account initiatives.
  • Report on competitive activities.
  • Establish and maintain vendor credentials.
  • Manage contract and price negotiations both internally and externally.
  • Support the retail sales team on an as-needed basis to ensure alignment from hospital to retail experience for moms/families.
