About The Position
The Consumer Benefit Specialist is responsible for assisting clients of the Northeastern Center, Inc (Center) in applying for and guiding applicants through Federal and State healthcare program requirements. This role involves assisting referred patients with program applications and providing regular reports on assistance activity to the Center.
Requirements
- Ability to articulate clearly
- Knowledge of general office practices and procedures
- Ability to learn assigned tasks readily and adhere to prescribed routines
- Good interpersonal and communication skills
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Experience in Medicaid or community health services required
- Indiana Navigator Certification
- Must possess a valid state issued driver’s license with the Public Passenger designation (a PPL).
Responsibilities
- Assist referred patients in applying for the Programs.
- Furnish the Center with regular (weekly, monthly, quarterly and annual) reports of assistance activity.
