Consulting Internship: Business Systems Analyst (Summer 2027)
About The Position
CapTech is seeking undergraduate Juniors passionate about technology and solving complex business and technical problems to join our 10-week internship program, Elevate. This program provides meaningful immersion into the full life cycle of a typical IT consulting project, simulating a client engagement at our Richmond, Virginia Headquarters. Interns work in self-led teams, guided by full-time consultants, and participate in weekly lunch-and-learns with leadership. The program is designed for interns to build something that matters, create impactful value, and gain a full understanding of the consulting experience.
Requirements
- Current undergraduates with expected graduation dates in December 2027 - May 2028 who will be seeking full-time work after graduation
- Demonstrated ability to be self-motivated contributors in a team environment
- Prior long-term school project or internship experience working in a team to create a deliverable
- Availability to work in-person 40 hours/week for 10 weeks in Richmond, VA from June 1 through August 6, 2027
- Applicants must be authorized to work directly for any employer in the United States without visa sponsorship.
- Candidates must have the ability to work at CapTech’s Richmond, VA office.
Nice To Haves
- Understanding of Agile/Scrum and Software Development Life Cycle helpful
- Experience with SQL and/or Python preferred
- Exposure to consulting and/or client stakeholder-facing work from prior experiences is a plus
- Analytics, Computer Science, BIT, Systems Engineering majors preferred but not required
Responsibilities
- Act as Scrum Master/Product Owner for development team
- Work with client stakeholders and Subject Matter Experts (SMEs) to gather and document requirements
- Analyze the current state and help design the future state
- Help set project cadence and lead team ceremonies
- Lead stakeholder reviews and client presentations
