About The Position

Join Cisco’s Customer Experience (CX) Professional Services team to deliver data center solutions to global enterprise customers. The Consulting Engineer leads service delivery efforts and mentors other consultants. The role builds and implements solutions and helps customers become self-sufficient with Cisco data center networking products. Work includes installing, integrating, configuring, customizing, optimizing, and automating networking solutions; planning and completing upgrades and migrations; producing build documents and migration plans; presenting solutions remotely and in person; and providing consultative customer support. The position involves working across several customer projects simultaneously and traveling up to 20% per year, with travel varying by project.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science or a university degree equivalent, and 3+ years of relevant experience in data center compute and networking; equivalent relevant work experience is also accepted.
• Experience with routing and switching on Cisco Nexus platforms and NX-OS operating systems.
• Experience with VXLAN or Cisco ACI.
• Scripting experience, such as Python or Ansible.
• Good written and verbal communication skills.
• Self-motivated, with a focus on execution.
• Professional-level certification (e.g., CCNP) or equivalent relevant certification expected.

Responsibilities

• Install, integrate, configure, customize, optimize, and automate Cisco data center networking solutions.
