About The Position

Join Cisco’s Customer Experience (CX) Professional Services team to deliver Cisco data center solutions to global enterprise customers. The Consulting Engineer leads service delivery efforts and mentors other consultants. The role involves building solutions, implementing them, and enabling customers to become self-sufficient with Cisco data center networking products. The position may involve working on several customer projects simultaneously and traveling up to 20% per year, depending on project needs.

Requirements

• Bachelor of Science, computer science, or equivalent university degree and at least 3 years of relevant experience in data center compute and networking.
• Experience with routing and switching on Cisco Nexus platforms and NX-OS operating systems.
• Experience with VXLAN or Cisco ACI.
• Scripting experience, such as Python or Ansible.
• Good written and verbal communication skills.
• Self-motivated, with a focus on execution.
• Professional-level certification (e.g., CCNP) or equivalent relevant certification expected.

• Consulting or consultative experience.

Responsibilities

• Install, integrate, configure, customize, optimize, and automate Cisco data center networking solutions.
• Plan and complete network upgrades and migration activities.
• Write build documents and migration plans.
• Present solutions to customers remotely and in person.
• Explain technical issues and present information concisely to technical and non-technical audiences.
• Interact with customers and provide consultative support.
• Work effectively with customers and project managers.
• Work on several different customer projects simultaneously.
• Lead service delivery efforts and mentor other consultants.
• Use AI to assist with day-to-day activities and scripting.
