About The Position
Westinghouse is looking for an engineer on behalf of our client to work with Projects Team (Subsequent License Renewal) is looking for an engineer. This engineer will be versed and competent in the design and fabrication of piping supports and rigging analysis. The engineer must also be able to perform design verifications and owners reviews. These reviews involve design change/engineering change packages developed following the commercial U.S. nuclear fleet standard design process.
Requirements
- 10+ years of design engineering experience
- Civil/Structural Engineering degree (B.S. minimum, M.S. a plus). (ABET accredited) Will accept years of experience in lieu of degree High school diploma is a min requirement
- Familiarity with standard civil engineering codes
- Qualifications for writing equipment specifications
- Experience with large projects
- 10 CFR 50.59 Screen preparation and review experience
Nice To Haves
- M.S. in Civil/Structural Engineering
Responsibilities
- Working knowledge of civil /structural engineering analysis, evaluations, and component design.
- Provide civil engineering support for a variety of large projects at SPS which may include, Crane Replacements, Feedwater Heater Replacements, building modifications, large piping, and other major component replacements.
- Schedule major engineering segments of complex projects to meet long range design development schedule goals.
- Attend station schedule and outage meetings.
