About The Position

As a Consulting Engineer - Wireless to support Service Provider and Enterprise accounts in the Cisco Customer Experience Team: Responsible for the delivery of Wireless Planning, Design, Implementation & Optimization Services to Cisco's major accounts. Performs architectural planning and design along with configuration and integration support. Also provides operational support for complex, wireless network deployments. Identify & document design/architecture guidelines for global Cisco Services adoption. Your specific responsibilities will include: Responsible for the delivery of Wireless Planning, Design, Implementation & Optimization Services to Cisco's major accounts. Performs architectural planning and design along with configuration and integration support. Also provides operational support for complex, wireless network deployments. Identify & document design/architecture guidelines for global Cisco Services adoption. Who you'll work with: You will work with all levels of Customer Experience team, directly with customer’s support team and with the Cisco TAC support infrastructure, development engineering and sales teams. You will participate in complex network build, performance engineering, fix and problem resolution for WLAN related projects.

Requirements

Typically requires a BSEE/CS or equivalent plus confirmed ability in a network engineering or telecommunications support environment (MS strongly preferred), along with deep technical account leadership skills.
In-depth knowledge of Wireless technology—specifically Meraki dashboard—combined with RF Design, Survey/Engineering, and troubleshooting skills using either Ekahau or Hamina.
IP Network Design skills, a working understanding of effectively deploying Cisco Spaces within a customer environment, and experience designing and deploying key WLAN applications (Voice over WLAN, Context-Aware Location-Based Services, and Wireless Guest Access).
Detailed understanding of WLAN security and network management (including ISE and/or RADIUS services), coupled with expert-level inter-networking solve in a large-scale network environment.
