Requirements

  • Comfortable being the most senior delivery voice in the business, operating with significant autonomy while reporting into the Managing Director.
  • Ability to balance commercial discipline (margin, utilization, forecasting) with genuine people leadership at a ~20-person scale.
  • Credible in front of clients in asset-intensive industries, able to engage with CFOs, COOs, Heads of Asset Management, or Field Service Directors.
  • Experience acting as a senior escalation point on complex, client-critical engagements and resolving them.
  • Direct experience with one or more ERP/EAM/FSM platforms, such as IBM Maximo, SAP, IFS, Infor, Microsoft Dynamics, Oracle, ServiceMax, or Salesforce Field Service.
  • Experience building or scaling a consulting practice through a significant growth phase.
  • Formal qualifications in engineering, IT, business, or a related field are highly regarded but not required where experience demonstrates equivalent capability.

Nice To Haves

  • Based in Brisbane or Melbourne, although candidates from anywhere in Australia will be considered for this fully remote role.

Responsibilities

  • Own the consulting P&L, including revenue and cost drivers, and be measured on project margin performance and team billable utilization.
  • Set and monitor consulting-level targets in partnership with the Managing Director, shape medium-term strategy, and make investment recommendations to protect margin and delivery capacity.
  • Contribute to company vision, strategic direction, and cross-functional decisions as a member of the executive team.
  • Be accountable for delivery quality, risk, and commercial performance across all active client engagements.
  • Act as the senior escalation point for at-risk engagements, intervening to protect client relationships and margin.
  • Establish and maintain a consistent delivery methodology, governance model, and quality assurance framework.
  • Balance capacity planning and skills fit, ensuring engagements are appropriately scoped and staffed in collaboration with the sales team.
  • Provide direct leadership to Team Leads and Project Managers, with overall accountability for a delivery team of approximately 20 consultants.
  • Own end-to-end resourcing, making sole decisions on staffing, prioritization of competing project demands, and consultant reassignments.
  • Act as the senior delivery relationship owner for strategic and complex client accounts, representing InfoConsulting in steering committees and executive briefings.
  • Partner with sales and account management on renewals, expansions, and client referenceability.
  • Ensure consistent and transparent reporting to clients on program health, risk, and value delivered.
  • Support scoping, solutioning, and commercial input on new opportunities and renewals, ensuring proposals are deliverable at the quoted margin.
  • Contribute delivery credibility to the sales cycle for complex or strategic pursuits.
  • Identify expansion opportunities within existing accounts based on delivery relationships and engagement performance.
  • Establish standards for project governance, documentation, risk logs, and quality gates.
  • Monitor delivery risk across the portfolio and provide early warnings to the Managing Director on any engagement in difficulty.
  • Drive continuous improvement in delivery methodology, tooling, and reusable assets.

Benefits

  • Executive Standing: Part of the executive team from day one, with a direct voice in company vision and strategic direction.
  • Practice built around you: Sole decision-making authority over resourcing, and the mandate to build the operating rhythm (methodology, governance, quality assurance, career pathing).
  • Enterprise-calibre clients: Work with clients across energy, utilities, resources, engineering, construction, and infrastructure.
  • Fully remote work: Work from anywhere in Australia.
  • Transparent recruitment and assessment: Every candidate completing the assessment works from the same brief and is evaluated against the same written criteria.
