About The Position

Clearsulting is seeking a Consulting Director, Business Advisory to define and drive the practice's strategic direction, aligning services with client needs and market trends. This role involves building strong relationships with senior executives, acting as a trusted advisor to address complex business challenges. The Director will lead and oversee client engagements, ensuring high-quality outcomes within scope, timeline, and budget. Key areas of focus include assessments, finance transformations, vendor selection, process improvement, finance & accounting operating model modernization, and technology implementations. The role also involves identifying and pursuing new business opportunities, preparing proposals, and leading pitches. Additionally, the Director will mentor and develop consulting teams, foster a culture of high performance, and provide insights on industry best practices and emerging trends. The position requires developing executive-level presentations and optimizing internal processes. A significant aspect of the role is helping finance transformation and accounting executives solve complex business problems from strategy through execution, focusing on developing finance functional strategies, improving business performance, and implementing new processes and technologies. The role also includes developing internal and external use cases for AI and GTM solutions.

Requirements

  • 10+ years of finance management consulting experience in finance strategy and transformation, operating model design and shared services, process improvement, program management, and/or technology implementations.
  • 5+ years of people management experience
  • Functional finance and accounting expertise including thought leadership on industry trends and leading practices
  • Extensive project management experience, including: workplan creation and updates, milestone tracking, risk management, status updates, change management, and communicating with clients.
  • Foundational knowledge and understanding of data and analytics technologies (i.e., Alteryx, Savant Labs, PowerBi, Tableau, Qlik, Python, VBA, SQL, Access, etc.) as well as AI toolsets.
  • Commercial acumen to generate and close opportunities in net new logo and existing account sales cycles.

  • Help finance transformation and accounting executives solve complex business problems from strategy through execution focused on developing finance functional strategies, improving business performance and implementing new processes and technologies.
  • Develop executive-level presentations to communicate complex issues and recommendations across processes, systems, and people.
