About The Position

Seeking entry-level and experienced Registered Dietitians (RDs), including those with a CNSC credential, for a PRN Consulting Dietitian position at Baylor University Medical Center (BUMC) in Dallas, TX. BUMC is a nationally recognized, faith-based, not-for-profit hospital that is part of Baylor Scott & White Health. It is a major patient care, teaching, and research center for the Southwest, serving over 300,000 people annually. The hospital has 914 licensed beds and is the flagship hospital of Baylor Scott & White Health – North Texas. BUMC is an academic teaching hospital with Level I trauma designation, a Level IV NICU, and a large technology and research center.

Requirements

• Bachelor's or master’s degree in nutrition or a related field.
• Registered Dietitian (RD) certification.
• Licensed Dietitian status in Texas
• Strong leadership, interpersonal, and communication skills.
• Ability to work collaboratively and effectively with interdisciplinary healthcare teams.
• Passion for improving patient outcomes through high-quality nutrition care.

Responsibilities

• Assess patient's nutritional status and develop individualized nutrition plans based on their medical history, current health status, and specific needs
• Provide education and counseling to patients and their families on proper nutrition, healthy eating habits, and lifestyle changes
• Collaborate with healthcare teams to develop and implement clinical protocols and best practices for nutrition care
• Monitor patients' progress and make modifications to their nutrition plans as needed
• Stay up-to-date with the latest research and developments in the field of clinical nutrition
