About The Position

EY-Parthenon is a global strategy consulting organization and the strategy consulting arm of Ernst & Young. They assist CEOs and business leaders in designing and executing transformative strategies to create long-term value. As a Strategy and Execution Consultant within EY-Parthenon, you will be part of a talented team working on high-profile transactions and integration mandates. You will utilize leading business tools and methodologies to serve sophisticated clients. The role involves participating in project teams to address strategic challenges, supporting and executing transaction strategies, and gaining experience in pre-deal activities (due diligence, operational and carve-out planning) and post-deal activities (integration planning, tracking, value creation) across various industries. The role offers opportunities for technical skill development and a growth mindset, with exposure to C-suite clients and insights into how major brands operate.

Requirements

  • Professional certifications (e.g., CPA, CMA, CFA, PMP and CMC), or have achieved the necessary hours but have yet to receive the certification
  • 3 years of related work experience is preferred
  • Strong analytical and quantitative skills, with the ability to assess complex situations and business problems to formulate potential solutions for clients
  • Experience in financial statement analysis, risk assessment, and process improvement is considered an asset
  • Effective organization and time management skills, with the ability to work under pressure and adhere to project deadlines
  • Demonstrated ability to manage multiple engagements or scopes of work and deliver results under tight deadlines
  • Excellent written communication skills, with the ability to write reports and presentations in a clear and concise manner
  • Experience presenting findings and recommendations to senior stakeholders is valued
  • Confident communicator to clients at all organization levels, including executive, VP, director, and operational management, with strong presentation delivery and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a team and create an inclusive environment with people at all levels of an organization
  • Proficiency with MS Excel, MS PowerPoint and MS Word
  • Ability to travel within Canada and the US (must be authorized to work in Canada)

Nice To Haves

  • Experience in audit, assurance, or related fields is considered an asset
  • Previous M&A experience is considered an asset
  • Interest and passion for digital, technology, and new business building topics

Responsibilities

  • Integration strategy, planning, and execution by providing project management support, and executive communication
  • Carve-out or divestiture strategy, planning, and execution, supporting operating model design, and transaction services agreement development
  • Operational due diligence, stand-alone costing, one-time cost development, operating model design
  • Synergy/value realization identification, validation and tracking
  • Development of Transitional Services Agreements
  • Development of M&A and integration playbooks
  • Support client engagement teams execute integration or carve-out services
  • Support key client decision makers in developing and executing their transaction strategy to secure deal value
  • Assist in identifying risks and issues related to integration planning, timelines, and functional areas
