The Network & Infrastructure Architect/Engineer will support the design, operation, security, monitoring, and modernization of a complex healthcare integration ecosystem supporting EHR interoperability and enterprise infrastructure services. This individual will serve as a hands-on architect and engineer responsible for cloud networking within Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI), hybrid connectivity, observability, logging, and infrastructure monitoring. The role will partner closely with integration, security, platform, and identity teams to ensure reliable, secure, and compliant healthcare data exchange.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Engineering, Cybersecurity, or a related technical discipline. Equivalent professional experience may be considered.
  • Strong qualitative and quantitative analysis and data-presentation skills
  • Working understanding of SAFe Lean-Agile principles
  • U.S. Citizenship and ability to obtain a Public Trust
  • Position requires up to 75% travel

  • Relevant experience in a VA healthcare setting
  • 5+ years of supporting Oracle Health/Cerner solutions
  • Extensive VHA and VA Medical Center operations experience, with working knowledge of the VISN structure
  • Familiarity with substantive Veterans health programs (Patient-Centered Medical Home, Mental Health, Telehealth, Women's Health, Specialty Care, Geriatrics and Extended Care)

Responsibilities

  • Design and maintain OCI virtual cloud networks, subnets, routing frameworks, security controls, and connectivity patterns supporting critical HL7 and FHIR integrations while implementing comprehensive telemetry, monitoring, alerting, and logging solutions across infrastructure and application layers.
  • Support infrastructure assessments, network modernization efforts, operational readiness activities, architecture documentation, vendor coordination, and technical recommendations supporting both day-to-day operations and future-state enterprise transformation initiatives.
