About The Position

Ramboll is seeking an Occupational Health & Safety Compliance Consultant to join one of our New England offices. This role is eligible for a hybrid work arrangement, with an initial on-site onboarding period. The consultant will support the due diligence and compliance practice, focusing on occupational health and safety, industrial hygiene, OSHA compliance, and helping clients navigate complex workplace safety requirements. The position involves reducing risk, improving worker health protection, and building effective health and safety management systems within the Environment & Health practice.

Requirements

  • Degree in safety, industrial hygiene, occupational health, or a closely related discipline.
  • At least 2 years of experience in occupational health and safety management, OSHA compliance, health and safety audits, safety program development.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of occupational health and safety regulations, worker health protection, and industry best practices.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Experience delivering presentations.
  • Experience writing comprehensive technical reports and standards.
  • Strong Microsoft Office skills with an advanced understanding of PowerPoint, Excel, and Word desired.
  • Ability to succeed in a fast-paced environment, handling multiple project assignments, meeting deadlines.
  • Ability to travel to client locations as needed.
  • Currently authorized to work in the United States on a full-time basis.

Nice To Haves

  • Certified Safety Professional (CSP) and/or Certified Industrial Hygienist (CIH) certifications, or on path to achieving certification.

Responsibilities

  • Grow and deliver client-facing occupational health and safety, workplace safety, industrial hygiene, and health and safety compliance services.
  • Produce high-quality work, steward client relationships, and identify value-add opportunities.
  • Lead and execute occupational health and safety consulting engagements across diverse sectors, supporting regulatory compliance, workplace safety programs, and health and safety management systems in manufacturing, chemicals, pharmaceuticals, extractives, energy, construction, transportation, telecoms, and services.
  • Perform occupational health and safety compliance audits, OSHA compliance reviews, risk assessments, and exposure assessments.
  • Implement corrective actions to meet federal, state, and local regulations.
  • Assess worker exposures and recommend effective controls.
  • Develop, implement, and improve written safety programs, health and safety policies, and management systems (e.g., ISO 45001), including hazard communication, lockout/tagout (LOTO), respiratory protection, confined space, fall protection, personal protective equipment (PPE), contractor safety, and ergonomics.
  • Conduct incident investigations, root cause analysis, and corrective and preventive actions (CAPA) to support continuous improvement in occupational health and safety performance and compliance assurance.
