About The Position

As a Consultant within the Medical & Scientific Affairs Practice at Putnam, you will help lead and manage a team of Associate & Life Sciences Consultants to complete projects across all our practice areas. Working with Managers and Partners, you will interact with clients to understand problems, develop and refine hypotheses, and break down and structure complex strategic and analytical problems. You will lead the daily operations of the team in executing and synthesizing analyses into key findings and actionable recommendations, and participate in delivering these recommendations to clients. You will also prepare and deliver key findings and recommendations against key business problems to clients and coach junior staff on project execution and management. Putnam serves many of the industry leaders, including all of the top 10 global biopharmaceutical companies. Our diverse casework spans portfolio prioritization, development pathway and resource optimization, market assessment, product pricing and launch strategies, market segment growth strategies, sales and marketing strategies, franchise development, and patent expiration strategies. Our offices are located in Boston’s Back Bay (HQ), San Francisco’s Union Square, New York City, and globally in London. Much of our work is conducted at our offices, although direct interaction with clients necessitates a reasonable level of travel to client sites.

Requirements

  • Minimum of 3-5 years’ work experience with other top-tier consulting firms.
  • Proven analytic abilities, presentation skills, team management experience and a team-oriented attitude are essential.
  • A working knowledge of the pharmaceutical or biotechnology industry is also a prerequisite.
  • Global medical affairs experience.
  • Asset Development and Launch Plan Strategy.
  • Experience leveraging AI and data analytics in client case work.

Nice To Haves

  • Relevant analytical/programming experiences in life science industry is a plus.
