About The Position

As a creative strategist in Enterprise Brand Strategy & Activation, you will be responsible for partnering across NF Marketing to lead the development and execution of compelling creative strategies in support of marketing plans. This role will collaborate across stakeholders supporting NF needs to implement data-driven integrated marketing communications and tactical plans that drive brand and business ROI. You’ll work in a fast-paced creative environment while supporting the Creative Strategy Director in ensuring your portfolio of projects meets or exceeds partner and leadership expectations. As a Consultant, you are responsible for leading and/or assisting the overall development and execution of marketing strategies using highly advanced marketing principles and standard methodologies. You will execute on future business or marketing needs driven by quantitative data/research, competitive insights and/or consumer behaviors. We'll count on you to ensure a strong focus on end-to-end customer experience, delivering outstanding customer experience overall.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in marketing, business administration or related field preferred.
  • Typically eight or more years related professional experience in marketing, strategy, consulting, financial services, or related field.
  • In-depth knowledge of marketing methodologies, insurance and/or financial services products, distribution systems, and customers.
  • Knowledge of project leadership concepts and methodologies.
  • Possesses strong verbal and written skills needed to develop and review research studies, communicate research findings, market recommendations based on findings, and maintain relationships.
  • Ability to lead and prioritize projects.
  • Ability to function independently or in a team environment with limited supervision.
  • Demonstrates core marketing proficiencies, including strategy development, utilization of insights and analytics, building brand equity and developing effective marketing communications.
  • Skilled at customer focus, operating capabilities, personal effectiveness, and strategic capabilities.
  • Other criteria, including leadership skills, competencies and experiences may take precedence.

Nice To Haves

  • Master’s degree is a plus.
  • Technical financial services designations such as FINRA, CPCU, CLU, ChFC, FLMI considered a plus.
  • Additional licensing may be required to hold this position; and associates will need to acquire the required Federal and/or state licenses/registrations within the time period designated by the business unit.
  • Additional licenses/registrations may be required when new products and services are implemented.
  • If an associate fails or is unable to acquire required licenses/registrations within the time period designated by the business unit, the associate will be ineligible to continue in the position.
  • Experience building go-to-market strategies within a highly regulated B2B2C industry with multiple distribution channels.

Responsibilities

  • Serve as proactive consultation support for the Creative Strategy team, working across a high volume of NF partners to translate business strategic plans into clear, aligned creative documentation that influences project-level direction and enables effective execution for internal and external creative and delivery teams.
  • Shepherd the creative development process from briefing, through development and in-market optimization for marketing projects of varying complexity, always striving to get the very best creative output designed to support brand & business goals.
  • Ensure consistency in the way key attributes, benefits, and support points are communicated across programs and tactics by aligning messaging within and across target audiences.
  • Actively manages assigned portfolio of work in partnership with the Creative Strategy Director, project management, creative and channel leads, and marketing management partners, to build integrated, scalable strategies and programs informed by insights, market trends, learnings and past performance to continually improve return on investment (ROI) and enable informed decision-making.
  • Assists in the development and execution of strategies and plans that ensure long term sustainable growth of the business.
  • Synthesizes data and uses this understanding to support identification and innovation of business building solutions.
  • Leads projects and processes within area of responsibility to deliver results with multiple target completion dates and shifting priorities.
  • Implements digital and traditional marketing tactics and media, including creative development process, planning, and execution.
  • Collaborates on and/or may lead creative development, and provides feedback on look and feel.
  • Develops creative briefs.
  • Monitors emerging innovative trends in content, design and marketing tactics.
  • Reviews and uses customer insights and analytics and tools to understand and forecast market, competitor and customer needs and behavior, define appropriate target audiences, evaluate sufficiency, and effectively get results with data-based decisions.
  • Ensures programs are on strategy and on schedule.
  • May perform other responsibilities as assigned.
