About The Position

HKA is a global consultancy specializing in risk mitigation, dispute resolution, expert witness, and litigation support. They focus on investigating and resolving complex challenges using multi-disciplinary expertise. The role is within the Forensic Accounting and Commercial Damages team, specifically supporting the growing Intellectual Property area. This position involves research, financial modeling, analysis, and report management to assist senior team members and expert consultants. The work will focus on Insurance Claims, Business Interruption, Lost Profits, Intellectual Property, Investigations, and related disputes.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s or Advanced degrees in Accounting, Finance, Economics, Mathematics
• 2+ years' professional experience in the analysis and calculation of damages in commercial disputes
• Experience with insurance claims services
• Analyzing delays, disruptions and cost overruns due to unforeseen events
• Forensic and Investigation services
• Experience and familiarity with managing multiple priorities simultaneously
• A strong foundation of experience in data analytics
• Ability to communicate with team members, review and summarize documents appropriately for internal purposes

Nice To Haves

• Experience in SQL or other database management preferred but not required

Responsibilities

• Supporting the collation of research and analysis of quantitative and qualitative data.
• Communicate with client project liaison on a consistent basis.
• Provide collaboration on the production of Expert reports.
• Assist with building complex models to analyze economic and financial data using spreadsheets and databases.
• Strong and concise communication of analysis and work product as appropriate.
• Managing multiple tasks/ deadlines/ priorities simultaneously by using effective problem solving, creativity, research and other self-driven methods while also having confidence knowing when and how to ask for help. Asking for help is not only welcomed, it's required!
• A positive and collaborative way of working, fostering good internal and external relationships whilst maintaining the confidential nature of client relationships and related work products.
