That's the Ciena network. Position Overview: We are seeking a passionate and results-oriented individual to lead the development and continuous improvement of our customer-facing portal. In this critical role, you will be responsible for shaping the strategic direction and execution of all aspects of the portal, ensuring it delivers a seamless and engaging experience that drives customer satisfaction and business growth. Role Summary We are seeking a highly analytical and forward-looking Forensic Accountant / Financial Analytics Lead to support financial forecasting, cost allocation, and predictive financial planning across Global Customer Operations. This role combines forensic financial analysis, data science techniques, and operational insight to uncover trends, identify risks, and provide early visibility into financial outcomes. The ideal candidate will help the organization move from reactive reporting to proactive financial foresight, enabling better decision-making across projects, programs, and portfolio-level investments. This individual must be able to work North America business hours while operating effectively in a globally distributed environment.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics, or related field
  • 7+ years of experience in financial analysis, forensic accounting, or planning
  • Strong experience with forecasting, modeling, and cost analysis
  • Advanced Excel skills, Power BI, Alteryx, Data Modelling, Predictive Analytics.
  • Experience working with large datasets.
  • SQL, Python, JavaScript, Power Automate and Power Apps
  • Self-starter who works with limited direction and is committed to delivering against aggressive deadlines.

  • Readily manage competing and ever-changing priorities while maintaining a balanced and methodical approach to problem solving.
  • Ability to tailor messages and ideas to the audience to ensure understanding and consensus.

Responsibilities

  • Perform forensic analysis of financial data to identify anomalies, cost drivers, and risks
  • Develop and maintain forecasting models for revenue, cost, and margin performance
  • Provide forward-looking insight to anticipate financial impact of decisions
  • Design and improve cost allocation methodologies across programs and regions
  • Partner with Finance, PMO, and Operations teams to validate financial data
  • Build dashboards and visualizations (e.g., Power BI) to communicate insights
  • Integrate data from multiple systems for comprehensive analysis
  • Collaborate cross-functionally to support financial and strategic decisions
