About The Position

We are seeking an entry-level Forensic Accountant to assist our Senior Forensic Accountants in conducting forensic audits and investigations, corporate compliance programs, fraud examinations, construction monitoring and litigation support matters. Responsibilities will include assisting in compiling and analyzing documents and data, participating in site visits and interviews, performing reviews, and testing of financial and operational data to support our investigative, compliance and construction monitoring projects.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or Economics
  • 0-2 years of Accounting, Finance and/or consulting experience.
  • Strong technical accounting background
  • Understanding of financial reporting, internal controls, and audit procedures
  • Maintain professional skepticism and investigative mindset
  • Ability to communicate effectively in written reports and oral presentations
  • Ability to work independently while collaborating within cross-functional teams
  • Ethical practice

Nice To Haves

  • Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, specifically Excel, Word, and PowerPoint
  • Proficiency utilizing Copilot
  • Candidates pursuing CPA licensure and/or CFE designation is a plus.
  • Fluency in one or more foreign languages is a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Assist with forensic accounting investigations involving fraud, corruption, financial misconduct, asset misappropriation, and other irregularities.
  • Review and analyze financial records, including general ledgers, bank statements, invoices, contracts, payroll records, expense reports, and supporting documentation.
  • Perform financial transaction testing, reconciliations, and data analysis to identify trends, anomalies, and potential risk indicators.
  • Assist in drafting client reports and preparing supporting schedules, tables, exhibits, charts, and other presentation materials.
  • Support litigation, arbitration, and dispute-related matters through document review, financial analysis, and preparation of exhibits and schedules.
  • Assist with construction monitoring engagements through review of budgets, invoices, draw requests, change orders, project expenditures, and supporting documentation.
  • Participate in client meetings, interviews, site visits, and fieldwork, as needed.
  • Work collaboratively with attorneys, investigators, compliance professionals, research analysts, and other subject matter experts on client engagements.
  • Maintain organized workpapers and supporting documentation in accordance with firm standards and professional practices.
  • Utilize Excel and other analytical tools to organize, reconcile, and evaluate large datasets.
