About The Position

This role executes an employer engagement strategy aligned with the Center’s strategic priorities to advance career development, experience, and recruitment opportunities for students. The engagement strategy involves industry research, direct employer outreach, follow-up, and data tracking to increase recruitment opportunities for UF candidates. The position is responsible for increasing the number of recruiting companies through various communication channels and fostering connections between employers and the UF community. It involves developing and maintaining employer relationships to boost recruitment activity, maintaining quantitative and qualitative records for assessment and reporting, and tracking engagement for industry stakeholders. The role also requires staying updated on employment trends and career development information, serving as a coach through consultations and presentations to aid organizations in developing their recruitment strategies. Additionally, the position oversees the employer module of Gator CareerLink, including approving industry recruitment service requests, validating new employer accounts, approving job postings, and coordinating interview and employer-hosted-event requests. It involves collaboration with team members to arrange on-campus employer recruitment activities, providing quality customer service to employers, and developing regular reports on employer Gator CareerLink activity and relevant recruitment services data. The role supports the center's employer-related trainings, programs, and signature events, such as career fairs, industry education workshops, annual conferences, and on-campus interviews. Support includes logistics and dissemination of relevant content. The position also leads enhancements and trainings for center staff on standard operating procedures related to Gator CareerLink and industry reports. Finally, it supports the day-to-day management of traditional recruiting programs to advance industry engagement and strategic industry success outcomes, including the on-campus interview program, information sessions, employer-hosted events, campus career fairs, and job postings.

Requirements

  • Master's degree in an appropriate area; or a bachelor's degree in an appropriate area and two years of relevant experience.
  • Certified Career Services Practitioner (CCSP) within first year of employment

Nice To Haves

  • Master’s degree in marketing, social sciences, student personnel, or human resources (HR)
  • Two (2) years of experience (minimum) in stakeholder engagement, marketing, sales, HR, career development, or career coaching
  • Experience working with many populations

Responsibilities

  • Increase the number of recruiting companies through emails, phone calls, and consultations.
  • Foster connections between employers and the UF community.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with employers to increase recruitment activity.
  • Maintain quantitative and qualitative records of interactions for assessment and reporting.
  • Track engagement for industry stakeholders.
  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of employment trends and career development information.
  • Serve as a coach conducting consultations and presentations to aid organizations in developing their recruitment strategy.
  • Oversee the employer module of Gator CareerLink, including approvals of industry recruitment service requests, validating new employer accounts, approving job postings, and coordinating interview and employer-hosted-event requests.
