About The Position

As a member of CIBC’s Capital Markets Technology team, the Consultant, Data and AI Analytics is responsible for supporting the delivery of advanced advice in data analytics, providing research and insights, and ensuring senior management has the relevant information to make informed decisions. As the Consultant, Data and AI Analytics, you will not only analyze data but also build intelligent AI solutions that deliver actionable business insights. The role performs tasks of technical depth and breadth, utilizing a solid understanding of business dynamics to conduct impact analysis and provide feedback on problems with recommended solutions involving AI. At CIBC we enable the work environment most optimal for you to thrive in your role. You’ll have the flexibility to manage your work activities within a hybrid work arrangement where you’ll spend 2-3 days per week on-site, while other days will be remote.

Requirements

3–5 years in data analytics, business intelligence, or related roles.
At least 2 years of Azure Databricks.
At least 1-2 years with GenAI like Microsoft Co-Pilot Studio.
At least 4 years of SQL and Python experience.
A degree in a quantitative field (i.e. mathematics, statistics, computer science, economics, engineering, physics, business) or equivalent experience.
Exceptional critical thinking, problem solving and decision making skills with demonstrated ability to independently identify and analyze business problems and recommend solutions.
Knowledge in organization's Information Technology (IT) environment and understand the integration / interdependencies of various processes across a line of business.

Responsibilities

Apply statistical techniques and machine learning models for predictive and prescriptive analytics.
Build interactive dashboards and reports using Power BI, Tableau, or Python visualization libraries.
Design and build AI agents that automate business insights generation and decision support.
Partner with data engineers, AI scientists, and business teams to ensure compliance and innovation alignment.
