About The Position

The Tax Exempt Market (TEM) supports mission‑driven institutions—including major healthcare systems, colleges, and universities—by delivering retirement plan services that improve financial well‑being. In this role, you will work closely with TEM Product Leadership, Engineering, Distribution, Operations, and global partners to design, deliver, and support critical product capabilities across the TEM ecosystem. As a Consultant, Business Analyst, you will play a critical role in driving complex product initiatives forward within the TEM Product Area. This role operates as a senior individual contributor with high autonomy, responsible for leading end‑to‑end business analysis across multi‑team epics and sub‑initiatives. You will translate complex business needs into clear, actionable requirements and partner closely across Product, Distribution, Technology, and Operations. You are not expected to perform technical implementation; however, you must be highly systems‑ and data‑literate to guide delivery and influence decisions.

Requirements

  • 7+ years of experience supporting product development through strong business analysis in financial services, technology, or other regulated environments.
  • Ability to drive tactical initiatives, through implementation, of a product strategy/roadmap.
  • Self-directed and motivated to stretch outside comfort zone and learn and apply new skills.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Proven experience leading epics or large initiatives in Agile environments.
  • Strong interpersonal skills, including the ability to work across the organization and interact/influence/negotiate effectively at all levels of management and peers.
  • Business Analysis certifications.

Responsibilities

  • Lead end‑to‑end business analysis across multi‑team epics and sub‑initiatives.
  • Translate complex business needs into clear, actionable requirements.
  • Partner closely across Product, Distribution, Technology, and Operations.
  • Guide delivery and influence decisions.
  • Quickly learn complex domains, challenge assumptions, and translate ambiguity into structured insight.
  • Break down multi‑team epics into clear components, dependencies, and risks to drive execution.
  • Lead epics and stories across squads, ensuring value‑based prioritization and consistent delivery.
  • Drive discovery, define current/future states, and deliver high‑quality user stories and acceptance criteria.
  • Proactively partner across TEM and other business units to identify the right stakeholders and build strong working relationships critical to success.
  • Lead working sessions, synthesize diverse inputs, and guide teams toward clear decisions and shared outcomes.
  • Take end‑to‑end ownership of outcomes, navigate shifting priorities, and remain effective in a dynamic environment.
  • Connect systems, data, and processes to identify impacts and opportunities, while leveraging and adapting established best practices across the organization.
  • Create and maintain clear artifacts (e.g., initiative mapping, requirements, workflows) that bring transparency to a high‑volume, complex body of work—and enable others to effectively engage with them.
  • Ensure downstream readiness while continuously improving processes by adopting and tailoring proven practices from across business units.
  • Lead complex epics from discovery through go‑live, ensuring clarity, momentum, and execution excellence.
