Consultant, Application Developer (Informatica)
About The Position
You’ll be joining CIBC’s Enterprise Data Automation and Operations technology team. As the Consultant, Application Developer (Informatica), you’ll be at the heart of CIBC’s digital transformation, successfully delivering complex, enterprise-scale mobile projects involving multiple back-end systems. You’ll assemble, implement and maintain easy, flexible, and personalized solutions that enhance the client experience. You’ll lead the planning and strategy for the technical design, development and integration of these applications. At CIBC, we enable the work environment most optimal for you to thrive in your role. Requirements
- More than 5 years experience overall in IT.
- Experience in ETL development and design.
- Familiarity with source, target, transformation, mapplet, mapping designer, workflow definition, workflow monitoring and repository manager concepts.
- Good working experience in Unix/Linux OS and related shell scripts (Korn, shell, etc.).
- Good working experience in SQL and RDMS databases like Oracle, SQL server.
- Good working experience in conversion into ascii, ebcdic, xml into target files.
- Experience using Autosys scheduler or other job scheduler.
- Preparing Functional and technical documentation.

Responsibilities
- Perform and coordinate complicated application programming activities.
- Design the application's technical infrastructure using specific databases, programming languages, utilities, and testing approaches.
- Lead the design and development of cost-effective and innovative solutions.
- Develop multi-year technology roadmaps that align with the bank’s vision, strategy, and business goals.
- Lead multiple complicated projects involving backend systems, new technology, and the enhancement of existing applications.
- Act as the mobile development team lead and run code-review sessions with the wider team to ensure the project is on track to meet goals.
- Support and mentor intermediate and senior developers by sharing knowledge, collaborating and problem solving.
