About The Position

We're looking for a skilled reverse engineer and CNO software engineer to work on high-impact, mission-centric projects at Ft. Meade, Maryland. In this role, you'll design, develop, prototype, modify, and integrate software solutions that directly support intelligence operations — both in quick-reaction scenarios and across longer development lifecycles. You'll work closely with analysts, operators, data scientists, and fellow software engineers to deliver tactical mission support. That means rolling up your sleeves on everything from augmenting existing toolsets to building full end-to-end capabilities that operate within real-world mission constraints. You'll coordinate with cross-functional teams to derive and scope requirements, build prototypes that demonstrate your understanding of mission needs, provide technical consulting across a range of software products and technologies, and take part in peer code reviews to keep quality high and defects low. This is a role for someone who thrives at the intersection of deep technical skill and mission purpose — someone who wants their code to matter.

Requirements

  • 12 years of experience with a B.S., or 10 years with an M.S. (4 years of additional software engineering experience may be substituted for a bachelor's degree)
  • Reverse engineering experience
  • Proficiency in C, C++, and/or Python — you should be able to produce and modify software systems in these languages
  • Experience providing support for fielded software systems
  • Ability to coordinate with cross-functional teams — including analysts, operators, and external development shops — to deliver holistic software solutions
  • Familiarity with Git and Subversion
  • Experience with Atlassian tools including Jira, Confluence, and Bamboo
  • Active TS//SCI clearance with polygraph

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with any of the following languages: Java, JavaScript, Bash, PowerShell, Perl, C#, or Rust
  • Experience developing CNO-specific software for Linux, Windows, or embedded environments
  • Experience with vulnerability research and exploit development
  • Knowledge of end-to-end SIGINT collection and analysis systems
  • Experience with production CNO capabilities and operations
