This role will work a hybrid schedule coming into the Scottsdale, Arizona office 2 days per week on Wednesday & Thursday. Nationwide’s Software Engineering Solutions team is seeking a Consultant, Agile Leader to drive software delivery excellence across Claims and Shared Services and the broader P&C Technology organization. In this role, you will coach and lead robust, self‑organized agile technology teams responsible for building and enhancing high‑quality software solutions, while championing modern engineering practices and AI‑assisted delivery in alignment with Nationwide Technology’s strategy. You will monitor team and line health, support iteration and release goals, and enable delivery of high‑quality solutions using Agile principles and Leader Standard Work (LSW). Responsibilities include facilitating team cadence, removing blockers, escalating issues when necessary, and mentoring team members on frameworks such as Scrum, Kanban, and Lean, while using enterprise flow/quality/productivity metrics, Standard Work Assessment (SWA), and visual management to drive continuous improvement. You will also guide and enable DevOps, DataOps, and AI/MLOps practices—leveraging DevXP, AI‑assisted delivery lifecycle (AI‑DLC), and GenAI tools to reduce manual effort, improve flow and quality, and share successful use cases across lines. Candidates should have 3–5 years of experience as an Agile Leader or Scrum Master, strong facilitation and coaching skills, a deep understanding of Agile principles, and experience across the software delivery lifecycle. Preferred qualifications include experience using AI/GenAI and automation tools (e.g., AI copilots, code assistants, analytics assistants) to enhance team productivity or quality, familiarity with DevOps/AI‑MLOps practices, Jira, Planview, and Power BI proficiency, A‑CSM or similar Agile certification, familiarity with Claims Center, and knowledge of Personal Lines insurance. This role does not qualify for employer-sponsored work authorization.
