About The Position

IMI is seeking a full-time Construction Tradesman local to the Greenville, SC area. This role involves performing tasks associated with the demolition, construction, and maintenance of structures, facilities, and systems. The Tradesman will operate a variety of equipment, including hand and power tools, and will be responsible for the placement, finishing, and repairing of concrete. Accurate application of intermediate mathematical skills and the ability to read and interpret blueprints and schematic drawings are essential.

Requirements

1 - 3 years' experience
NCCER certification or completion of a related program through an accredited technical school.
Must be able to climb, stoop, kneel, crouch, crawl, reach, stand, walk, push, pull, lift, grasp, twist, and bend for extended periods of time.
Use arms and hands to reach for, handle or manipulate objects.
Lift and carry materials weighing up to 50 pounds; occasionally lift items weighing more than 50 pounds with assistance.
Must be able to work indoors and outdoors including times of inclement weather.
Ability to climb in overhead structures, to work beneath machines and in close quarters performing analysis and repair work.
Ability to climb a ladder and step into various pieces of equipment.

Responsibilities

Perform tasks associated with the demolition, construction, and maintenance of structures, facilities, and systems.
Operate a variety of equipment, including hand and power tools, such as: air hammers, earth tampers, cement mixers, small mechanical hoists, surveying and measurement equipment, backhoes, bulldozers, front-end loader, motor grader, cherry picker, dump truck, skid steer, pavement breakers, jackhammers, etc.
Perform placement, finishing, and repairing of concrete.
Accurately apply intermediate mathematical skills including addition, subtraction, multiplication, division, and conversion of fractions and decimals.
Read and interpret blueprints and schematic drawings to determine work procedures.
