About The Position

The Construction Support Specialist (CSS) is a vital position that coordinates preconstruction project information and documentation, including contracts, estimates, proposals and budgets. The CSS is responsible for supporting and maintaining maximum accuracy in the project information life cycle from Business Development, Estimating, Budgeting, Contract/Proposal coordination through to preliminary project setup with handoff to the billing department.

Requirements

• AS Degree, or 5+ years of related experience, in finance, accounting, construction management, engineering or related fields.
• Strong / Advanced MS Excel skills.
• Strong Computer / File Management skills.
• Prior Experience with Accounting and/or CRM software systems.
• MS Word or similar product experience.
• Strong written and oral communication skills.
• Strong interpersonal skills.
• Ability to effectively prioritize and execute tasks.
• Strong analytical skills.
• Prior team or department management experience.

Nice To Haves

• Construction or HVAC / Mechanical industry experience.
• Highly accurate data processing experience.

Responsibilities

• CRM (Deltek VantagePoint) project status updates/project assignments.
• Assist with team coordination of project tracking and preliminary setup, ensuring accuracy of project details.
• Work directly with Estimating to ensure accurate budgets are sent to Billing for entry.
• Use of Accounting system (Deltek Costpoint) for Prelim set-ups, project review, and project status.
• Prepare change orders and budget adjustments for Billing.
• Assist in SOP updates as needed.
• Forward any contracts or change order documents received through project support where Risk department is not copied on the communication.
• Set up job folders with accurate numbering system.
• Other duties as assigned.
