About The Position

Position Overview The Construction Superintendent is responsible for overseeing all on-site construction activities, ensuring projects are completed safely, on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards. This role serves as the primary field leader, coordinating subcontractors, managing daily site operations, and ensuring alignment with project plans and company expectations.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of experience as a Superintendent in residential construction
  • Strong knowledge of construction methods, materials, and building codes
  • Proven experience managing multiple subcontractors and trades
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical documents
  • Experience with project management or scheduling software preferred
  • OSHA certification (or willingness to obtain)
  • Leadership and team management

  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Attention to detail and quality focus

Nice To Haves

  • Experience in ground-up construction and/or mixed-use developments
  • Familiarity with both horizontal (sitework/infrastructure) and vertical construction

Responsibilities

  • Project Execution & Site Management Oversee day-to-day field operations for residential construction projects
  • Coordinate all subcontractors, vendors, and site personnel
  • Maintain project schedules and ensure milestones are met
  • Monitor quality control and ensure work complies with plans, specs, and codes
  • Scheduling & Coordination Develop and manage short-term and long-term construction schedules
  • Conduct daily site meetings and weekly progress updates
  • Collaborate with Project Managers, engineers, and architects to resolve issues
  • Safety & Compliance Enforce OSHA and company safety standards across all job sites
  • Conduct regular safety inspections and toolbox talks
  • Ensure compliance with permits, inspections, and regulatory requirements
  • Quality Assurance Perform routine inspections to ensure craftsmanship meets company standards
  • Identify and resolve deficiencies promptly
  • Manage punch lists and project closeout processes
  • Budget & Cost Control Assist in monitoring project budgets and controlling field costs
  • Track labor, materials, and equipment usage
  • Identify cost-saving opportunities without compromising quality
  • Communication & Reporting Maintain daily logs, reports, and photo documentation
  • Provide progress updates to internal stakeholders and leadership
  • Serve as the primary on-site point of contact for clients and partners
