About The Position

Position Overview The Construction Superintendent is responsible for overseeing all on-site construction activities, ensuring projects are completed safely, on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards. This role serves as the primary field leader, coordinating subcontractors, managing daily site operations, and ensuring alignment with project plans and company expectations.

Requirements

5+ years of experience as a Superintendent in residential construction
Strong knowledge of construction methods, materials, and building codes
Proven experience managing multiple subcontractors and trades
Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical documents
Experience with project management or scheduling software preferred
OSHA certification (or willingness to obtain)
Leadership and team management
Problem-solving and decision-making
Time management and organization
Strong communication and interpersonal skills
Attention to detail and quality focus

Nice To Haves

Experience in ground-up construction and/or mixed-use developments
Familiarity with both horizontal (sitework/infrastructure) and vertical construction
Background working with a general contractor or developer

Responsibilities

Project Execution & Site Management Oversee day-to-day field operations for residential construction projects
Coordinate all subcontractors, vendors, and site personnel
Maintain project schedules and ensure milestones are met
Monitor quality control and ensure work complies with plans, specs, and codes
Scheduling & Coordination Develop and manage short-term and long-term construction schedules
Conduct daily site meetings and weekly progress updates
Collaborate with Project Managers, engineers, and architects to resolve issues
Safety & Compliance Enforce OSHA and company safety standards across all job sites
Conduct regular safety inspections and toolbox talks
Ensure compliance with permits, inspections, and regulatory requirements
Quality Assurance Perform routine inspections to ensure craftsmanship meets company standards
Identify and resolve deficiencies promptly
Manage punch lists and project closeout processes
Budget & Cost Control Assist in monitoring project budgets and controlling field costs
Track labor, materials, and equipment usage
Identify cost-saving opportunities without compromising quality
Communication & Reporting Maintain daily logs, reports, and photo documentation
Provide progress updates to internal stakeholders and leadership
Serve as the primary on-site point of contact for clients and partners
