About The Position

Position is contingent upon contract award As the Construction Superintendent, you will support renovation projects within secure facilities for the Intelligence Community (IC). The Superintendent will oversee day-to-day field operations on renovation and service projects, ensuring work is completed safely, on schedule, within budget, and in compliance with strict security and facility requirements. This position requires extensive coordination with government stakeholders, subcontractors, and security personnel while operating within controlled environments.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree preferred
  • 7+ years of construction field supervision experience, with significant experience in renovation or tenant improvement projects.
  • Experience working in secure government facilities, SCIF environments, or intelligence community projects.
  • Strong understanding of construction methods, scheduling, safety, and quality management.
  • Ability to read and interpret construction drawings, specifications, and contract documents.
  • Experience coordinating multiple subcontract trades on active renovation projects.
  • Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
  • Proficiency with construction management software and daily reporting tools.
  • Experience with federal construction standards (UFC, ICD-705, SCIF construction requirements).
  • Background supporting projects for agencies within the Intelligence Community or Department of Defense.
  • Experience managing renovation projects in occupied or operational facilities.
  • Top Secret SCI W/ Poly

Responsibilities

  • Oversee daily on-site construction activities for renovation and facility service projects within secure government facilities.
  • Coordinate and supervise subcontractors, vendors, and field personnel to ensure work progresses according to project schedule and scope.
  • Maintain strict adherence to security requirements, access control procedures, and SCIF construction standards.
  • Review drawings, specifications, and project documents to ensure construction activities align with contract requirements.
  • Conduct daily site inspections to verify quality control, safety compliance, and workmanship standards.
  • Manage construction schedules and coordinate sequencing of renovation work to minimize disruption to occupied or operational facilities.
  • Collaborate with project managers, government representatives, and facility managers to resolve field issues and maintain progress.
  • Track and document project milestones, daily reports, RFIs, change orders, and field directives.
  • Ensure compliance with OSHA safety regulations, government construction standards, and facility policies.
  • Support project closeout activities including punch lists, as-built documentation, and turnover packages.
  • Maintain communication with security personnel to ensure proper escorting procedures and secure material handling.
