About The Position

McGuire Builders, Inc. is seeking an experienced Construction Superintendent to oversee hospitality, tenant improvement, restaurant, and hotel construction projects across Southern California. The role is based out of the company’s Torrance office and requires strong field leadership, attention to detail, and a proven track record in relevant construction and renovation projects. The superintendent oversees on-site project execution to help ensure safety, quality, schedule, and budget goals are met, while coordinating subcontractors, field staff, suppliers, and project stakeholders.

Requirements

Proven expertise in tenant improvement, hotel, and restaurant construction or renovations.
Proficiency in Procore.
Knowledge of building codes, ADA requirements, construction methods, and California safety regulations.
Ability to read and interpret blueprints, schedules, and specifications.
Strong communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills.
Reliable transportation and willingness to travel to job sites across Southern California.

Nice To Haves

Familiarity with scheduling software and Microsoft Office.
OSHA 30 certification.

Responsibilities

Oversee all phases of on-site construction projects, ensuring work is performed safely, on schedule, and within budget.
Direct and coordinate subcontractors, field staff, and suppliers to support smooth project operations.
Interpret and enforce project plans, specifications, and contracts.
Maintain project schedules and proactively identify and resolve potential delays.
Ensure compliance with safety regulations through regular site inspections and safety meetings.
Conduct quality control checks to meet or exceed client expectations.
Communicate project progress, challenges, and solutions to project managers and senior leadership.
Maintain professional relationships with clients, architects, engineers, and inspectors.
