About The Position

The Whiting-Turner Contracting Company is seeking qualified field supervision for various commercial projects in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial, team-based working environment. The Construction Superintendent will oversee field matters and manage jobsite safety and quality, helping deliver complex projects with minimal delays and an emphasis on customer delight. Candidates should have 5 to 20+ years of industry experience and a track record of successful project delivery.

Requirements

• 5 to 20+ years of experience in the construction industry.
• A track record for delivering complex projects with minimal delays and an emphasis on customer delight.
• Proven ability to implement and maintain full control of field matters while managing safety and quality on site.
• Strong commitment to promoting safety, including certifications comparable to OSHA 30.
• Ability to lead and mentor as part of a diverse team.
• Effective problem-solving and conflict-resolution skills.
• Knowledge of construction principles and ambition to succeed and advance.
• Ability to communicate effectively verbally and in writing.
• Experience with scheduling methodologies and software.
• Experience managing financial impacts on site.
• Ability to interpret and implement technical specifications, blueprints, technical manuals, product/material installation instructions, and engineering/architectural drawings.

Nice To Haves

• Bachelor of Science or equivalent experience in construction management, construction technology, an engineering discipline, or engineering technology.
