We are seeking a Construction Superintendent (Site Superintendent / Construction) to support our team at Anchor Management Group, experts in vertical construction and project management. Delivering end-to-end design-build capabilities for elite facilities, Anchor Management Group specializing in Feasibility Studies, Master Planning, Engineering, Design-Build, Pre-Construction, and Construction Management services. The Construction Superintendent will be reporting to the Senior building superintendent and will be overseeing an on-site construction project and activities, coordinating subcontractors, ensuring schedule adherence, safety compliance and resolving issues, working from the jobsite in South Carolina full time. The position is a 6-month contract with the possibility of an extension. Anchor Management Group is part of Tarkett Sports. Requirements

  • 3+ years’ experience in vertical & civil construction or a related bachelor’s degree.
  • Demonstrated experience and success running a $5 million plus vertical construction project.
  • Supervisory experience in construction or building operations (Superintendent).
  • Highly proficient in reading and interpreting construction drawings, specifications, and contract documents.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite.
  • OSHA 30 required.
  • Effectively guide and motivate on-site teams to ensure timely and quality project completion (Leadership).
  • Quickly identify and resolve construction challenges to maintain project momentum (Problem-Solving).
  • Clearly convey information and collaborate with stakeholders to ensure alignment and understanding (Communication).

Responsibilities

  • Reviewing construction documents in Precon phase for constructability and means and methods approach.
  • Creating project master and micro schedules, overseeing construction project progress to ensure it is following the established timeline.
  • Developing and managing 2–3 week look-ahead schedules to proactively coordinate upcoming work and mitigate potential delays.
  • Managing and coordinating the work of subcontractors and ensuring they meet their contractual obligations.
  • Leading daily field operations, including site logistics, manpower coordination, and equipment utilization.
  • Conducting daily site walks and subcontractor coordination meetings to drive accountability, sequencing, and production.
  • Ensuring adherence to building codes, safety standards, and legal requirements.
  • Maintaining project quality through inspections, punch list management, and verification of installed work.
  • Resolving any issues or delays that may arise in the construction process.
  • Effective communication with project managers, architects, engineers, and other construction and building specialists.
  • Must be competent in coordinating site operations and able to oversee manpower & equipment on project sites.
