About The Position

We are seeking a driven, detail‑oriented Superintendent to join our custom home building client team. This role oversees all on‑site operations for new custom home builds and renovation projects, including project planning, daily field management, subcontractor coordination, and client communication. Responsibilities include estimating support, tracking budgets and job‑cost reports, maintaining schedules, enforcing safety and quality standards, and ensuring all work aligns with plans, specifications, and company expectations. The ideal candidate is a hands‑on leader with deep knowledge of residential construction and custom home processes, strong problem‑solving skills, and a collaborative, customer‑focused approach.

Requirements

High school diploma or GED required
5+ years of hands-on experience in custom home construction
2+ years in a leadership role in the field and operations is preferred
Strong proficiency in Microsoft 365/Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
Strong leadership, organizational and multitasking abilities
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Ability to read and interpret blueprints and specifications
Ability to create budgets and schedules
A problem-solving mindset with a willingness to learn and adapt
Knowledge of construction safety standards and building permitting, codes
Exceptional attention to detail and a proactive attitude, driven, self-starter
Strong ability to be able to manage client relationships as well as relationships with subcontractors, holding all parties accountable in a professional manner
Commitment to personal and professional development, delivering on Jobe quality standards as the company grows

Nice To Haves

Education in Construction Management, Project Management, Engineering, Business, or a related field is preferred
Less experience with a driven, proactive attitude will be strongly considered
Experience working on projects in the $2M-$10MM range is preferred

Responsibilities

Manage the project from initial planning and estimating through completion, fostering strong relationships with clients, architects, and interior designers.
Manage six-month to two-year builds and renovations including day to day site operations, ensuring smooth workflow, on time, on budget, and high productivity.
Enforce adherence to project drawings, specifications, and quality expectations.
Establish strong working communication with clients, and everyone on the team of architects and interior designers so everyone stays aligned on plans, schedule, and budget.
Coordinate and supervise subcontractors, vendors, and field labor.
Communicate scheduling conflicts and adjustments.
Ensure project reports and weekly updates are provided to the President to keep him informed of all company projects and progress.
Develop and maintain the construction schedule.
Monitor daily and weekly progress and implement adjustments to stay on track including change orders when necessary.
Ensure timely receipt of subcontractor and vendor invoices so client is billed appropriately at the end of every month.
Track variances, change orders, and client approvals/decisions.
Identify potential project issues, delays or client challenges and promptly escalate them to the President.
Collaborate with the Superintendent Team to leverage best practices and develop practical solutions to address challenges as they arise.
