About The Position

Baldwin & Shell Construction Company is searching for an experienced Superintendent to join their Central Arkansas Team. The Superintendent is a key management role responsible for the organization and implementation of the project from start to finish in the field. They report directly to the General Superintendent and collaborate closely with Project Management staff. The Central Arkansas Team focuses on general commercial construction, construction management, and design-build delivery projects of various sizes throughout central Arkansas.

Requirements

High school diploma or equivalent.
At least five (5) years of commercial construction experience as a Superintendent on projects of at least $20M in size.
Knowledge and understanding of local quality, safety, and health guidelines for construction job sites.
Ability to read and adhere to labels, safety warnings, and guidelines.
Have an in-depth understanding of construction operations and processes.
Strong interpersonal, written, and verbal communications skills.
Must be self-driven, motivated and possess the ability to work effectively and independently.
Must possess strong organizational and time management skills and the ability to perform under pressure.
Must be available to work overtime, possibly including weekends as needed.
Must be able to pass a background check and pre-employment drug test.
Designated safety-sensitive position according to Arkansas Medical Marijuana Act 593.

Responsibilities

Direct and supervise all job site activities.
Keep track of project progress and budgets.
Ensuring compliance with safety, health, and quality standards.
Supervise staff, provide work direction and constructive feedback.
Order the appropriate equipment and arrange for regular maintenance.
Resolve on-site issues and emergencies.
Follow and enforce established safety rules and regulations to maintain a safe and clean jobsite.
Complete projects on time and on budget.
