The company provides general contracting, construction management, and design-build services. This search is for an experienced Construction - Senior Project Manager to join a highly respected commercial general contractor with a strong reputation for delivering complex, high-profile construction projects throughout the region. The Construction – Senior Project Manager serves as the primary leader responsible for the successful execution of one or more large-scale commercial construction projects from preconstruction through final closeout. You will provide strategic leadership over project planning, budgeting, scheduling, procurement, subcontractor management, financial performance, risk mitigation, quality control, and client satisfaction. Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, Architecture, or a related technical discipline.
  • Equivalent combination of education and directly related commercial construction experience will also be considered.
  • 10+ years of progressive commercial construction project management experience.
  • Recent experience working directly for a medium to large commercial General Contractor.
  • Proven experience managing large, complex commercial construction projects from preconstruction through project completion.
  • Strong understanding of construction means and methods, estimating, procurement, scheduling, budgeting, contract administration, and project controls.
  • Demonstrated experience managing Guaranteed Maximum Price (GMP), negotiated, and hard bid projects.
  • Valid driver's license with the ability to travel to project sites as needed.
  • Must be US Citizen or Authorized to Work in the United States.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience delivering healthcare, education, corporate, industrial, municipal, or other large commercial construction projects.
  • Experience utilizing Lean Construction principles.
  • Experience with Building Information Modeling (BIM).
  • Professional certifications such as: PMP, LEED AP, DBIA, CCM (Certified Construction Manager).

Responsibilities

  • Serve as the primary leader responsible for the successful execution of one or more large-scale commercial construction projects from preconstruction through final closeout.
  • Provide strategic leadership over project planning, budgeting, scheduling, procurement, subcontractor management, financial performance, risk mitigation, quality control, and client satisfaction.
  • Lead executive-level client meetings.

  • Oversee multiple concurrent projects and project teams.
  • Manage project financials, forecasting, cost reporting, profitability, and margin performance.
  • Oversee project closeout management.
  • Lead preconstruction efforts, buyout, subcontract negotiations, and scope development.
  • Develop and mentor Assistant Project Managers and Project Managers.
