About The Position

Turner & Townsend is seeking a highly skilled Construction Project Accountant with prior experience managing the financial aspects of large-scale construction projects or programs. The role supports private-sector clients across a variety of construction contracts and contributes to project and business financial performance. The ideal candidate has experience successfully managing and leading a team. On-site presence and requirements may change depending on client needs.

Requirements

Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or a related field.
A minimum of 5–7 years of applicable experience in project accounting, preferably in the construction industry.
Working knowledge and experience with various financial management systems and software.
Experience managing project budgets and financial reporting.
Prior experience successfully managing and leading a team.

Responsibilities

Support the development and implementation of financial strategies for major construction projects.
Provide specialist financial and accounting advice to private-sector clients across a variety of construction contracts.
Prepare and manage project budgets, forecasts, and financial reports.
Monitor project costs and ensure they align with the approved budget.
Conduct financial analysis and report on project performance.
Manage project billing, accounts receivable, and accounts payable.
Ensure compliance with financial regulations and standards.
Build positive relationships within the project team and with client personnel and their key advisors.
Manage and update internal financial trackers and support the financial capability of the project services division.
Support the delivery of team and wider business targets.
Adhere to SOX control responsibilities where applicable.
