About The Position

The Construction Specialist performs construction, installation, and repair work on buildings, grounds, and associated systems. Work may involve utilities, excavation, masonry, framing, roofing, finishes, electrical systems, and HVAC systems. The role includes interpreting blueprints to determine dimensional layouts; performing a range of construction tasks; and operating construction equipment.

Requirements

• Highly developed interpersonal skills and openness to others’ views.
• High school diploma or HSE.
• Valid driver’s license.
• Ability to frequently lift or move items weighing 50 to 100 pounds.
• Ability to stand, walk, and climb stairs.

Responsibilities

• Examine and interpret blueprints to determine required dimensional layouts for buildings and building systems.
• Perform measuring, cutting, forming, fastening, framing, welding, tuck-pointing, drywall and concrete finishing, painting and staining, wiring, soldering, and threading.
• Operate telescoping forklifts, backhoes, trenchers, skid steers, augers, and man lifts.
• Perform construction, installation, and repair work on buildings, grounds, and associated systems, including utilities, excavation, masonry, framing, roofing, finishes, electrical, and HVAC systems.
