About The Position

TRC Field Services (FSV) is seeking Construction Specialists to support our Northern California (CA) Client Teams. The Construction Specialist (CS) is committed to ensuring that the project moves smoothly, ensuring teamwork, efficiency, and clear communication with project team members including Contractors, Agencies, and staff. FSV delivers comprehensive, cost-effective Construction Management and Testing & Commissioning Service solutions safely to our Utility Customers while providing the best training programs and mentors in this industry and numerous opportunities for growth with excellent benefits.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or GED
  • 5+ years of construction experience, supervisory experience a plus
  • Knowledge and experience with equipment used for inspection, surveying, and construction office engineering management
  • Proficiency in Computers, computer applications, and computer software programs in the Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel and Outlook)

Responsibilities

  • Work Authorization Tracking and Communication: Send Email Responses to vendors, Monitor work authorization statuses and expiration dates, Send timely email notifications to relevant stakeholders regarding change orders or updates.
  • Invoice Submittals and Reviews: Review invoices for accuracy and completeness before approval, Provide Guidance to Contract vendors on approval and submitting, Track invoice approvals and follow up on outstanding payments or discrepancies.
  • Data Analysis & Reporting: Collect, clean, and analyze large datasets using Excel and Power BI, Develop dashboards and visualizations to communicate key metrics and trends, Perform ad hoc analyses to support business initiatives and strategic planning.
  • Data Management: Maintain data accuracy and integrity across systems (DOT - restoration tracker, CMDB, ARIBA, WA TEAM), Automate data processes and reporting workflows where possible, Regularly update project-related data and ensure timely reporting, Assist with compiling data for audits and performance reviews, SharePoint - data management- assist CS's as needed, Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure data consistency and relevance.
  • Critical Thinking & Problem Solving: Interpret complex data sets and translate findings into clear, actionable recommendations, Identify patterns, anomalies, and opportunities for process improvement, Support decision-making by providing data-backed insights and forecast.
