The Electric Construction Specialist identifies contract-worthy projects in partnership with Maintenance & Construction and Transmission Line, and provides consultation to Engineering on the feasibility of construction projects. The incumbent partners with Project Management and Engineering to provide advice and direction at the construction project site regarding the environment and related details. The specialist also works in conjunction with Contract Specialists to facilitate the creation of outsourced contracts. The incumbent is the primary contact for outsourced contract construction firms during the contract bidding process and for maintaining and consulting status throughout the project lifecycle. The position will require approximately 50% of travel time in the work schedule. Individuals will travel within the designated region to various substations to attend project meetings or perform walk-downs. Individuals will need to be knowledgeable in substation construction, be able to review construction drawings, and develop and review labor hours for substation construction-related activities. This position is hybrid, working from your remote office and your assigned work location based on business need. The assigned work location will be within the PG&E Service Territory (Southern Region).
