About The Position

The client is actively seeking Safety Managers for both day-shift and night-shift coverage. Join an electrical contractor supporting electrical installation and utility infrastructure on a large-scale data center construction project in Barstow, TX. This role offers the opportunity to provide hands-on safety leadership for electrical construction activities, underground and site utility work, equipment installation, temporary power, and evolving electrical hazards as the project progresses toward energization. With openings available on both day and night shifts, this is an excellent opportunity for experienced construction safety professionals with strong electrical backgrounds to join a fast-paced, mission-critical project.

Requirements

  • OSHA 30 Construction Certification
  • 5+ years of construction safety experience
  • Experience working with electrical contractors required
  • NFPA 70E knowledge and experience
  • Experience conducting field inspections, audits, hazard assessments, and compliance monitoring
  • Strong understanding of OSHA electrical and construction safety requirements

Nice To Haves

  • Data center construction experience
  • Strong NFPA 70E electrical safety experience
  • Lockout/Tagout (LOTO) and hazardous-energy control experience
  • Experience supporting energized work planning and electrical safe work practices
  • Underground utility or electrical infrastructure experience
  • Bilingual (English/Spanish)
  • CHST, ASP, CSP, or other BCSP credential

Responsibilities

  • Oversee daily safety activities for electrical construction and utility installation operations
  • Maintain a strong field presence alongside electricians, field supervision, and project leadership
  • Conduct routine site inspections, audits, field observations, and risk assessments
  • Monitor electrical installation, underground utility, conduit, and infrastructure activities
  • Support electrical equipment installation and evolving energization activities
  • Monitor temporary power systems and electrical work practices
  • Support and enforce Lockout/Tagout (LOTO) and hazardous-energy control procedures
  • Ensure compliance with NFPA 70E, OSHA regulations, and project-specific electrical safety requirements
  • Review Job Hazard Analyses (JHAs), pre-task plans, permits, and energy control procedures
  • Identify electrical, excavation, equipment, and simultaneous-operation hazards before work begins
  • Lead incident investigations and corrective action implementation
  • Maintain safety documentation, reports, inspections, and compliance records
  • Partner with project supervision to proactively identify and mitigate hazards
  • Promote a positive safety culture throughout the project

  • Per Diem: $125/Day (7 Days Per Week for Non-Local Candidates)
  • Completion Bonus: $150/month
