About The Position

This position is responsible for performing janitorial duties in a construction field office as directed by site leadership. Charah Solutions is the leading provider of environmental services and byproduct sales to the power generation industry. Based in Louisville, Kentucky, we assist utilities and independent power producers in sustainably managing and recycling ash byproducts generated from the combustion of coal in the production of electricity. With over 30 years of experience, we also design and implement solutions for ash pond management and closure, landfill construction, fly ash sales, and structural fill projects.

Requirements

Valid driver’s license required
General knowledge of cleaning and sanitation procedures required

Nice To Haves

Minimum 1-year experience working in a janitorial/ housekeeping position preferred
High school diploma or equivalent preferred

Responsibilities

Responsible for cleaning the interior of buildings including floors, carpet, rugs, windows, and walls
Disinfect commonly used items like, desks, doorhandles, office tools, and phones
Empty trash and recycle bins
Clean, sanitize, and stocks restrooms
Clean, sanitize, and stock office kitchen/ break area
Vacuum, sweep, and mop floors
Organize the janitor closet and store all supplies and tools
Use common cleaning tools
Follow safety rules, and precautions
Notify supervisors of unsafe conditions
Adhere to company policies and procedures
Must be able to manage time efficiently and to work individually as well as within a team
Perform other duties as assigned
