About The Position

The Construction Services Project Manager is responsible for managing construction engineering, inspection, and construction materials testing (CMT) projects for transportation, municipal, water/wastewater, commercial, and vertical construction clients. This role oversees projects from proposal through closeout, including client coordination, scheduling, budgeting, staffing, QA/QC oversight, and regulatory compliance. The ideal candidate is a strong technical and operational leader with experience managing field personnel, maintaining client relationships, and delivering projects safely, efficiently, and in compliance with applicable standards including FDOT, ASTM, AASHTO, and client specifications.

Requirements

  • 5–10+ years of experience in CEI, CMT, construction services, or related field
  • Experience managing construction services, inspection, or field operations projects
  • Strong understanding of QA/QC procedures, construction processes, and field testing standards
  • Experience with project scheduling, budgeting, invoicing, and proposal preparation
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and construction management software such as Bluebeam or Procore
  • Strong communication, leadership, organizational, and client coordination skills
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines simultaneously
  • Valid driver’s license with acceptable driving record

Responsibilities

  • Manage CEI, inspection, materials testing, drilling coordination, and QA/QC projects
  • Serve as primary contact for clients, contractors, agencies, and internal teams
  • Prepare scopes, proposals, schedules, staffing plans, and budgets
  • Monitor project performance, invoicing, utilization, and profitability
  • Coordinate subcontractors, laboratories, and field personnel
  • Lead project meetings and client updates
  • Identify and resolve project risks and scheduling challenges
  • Oversee field inspection and testing activities for earthwork, concrete, asphalt, foundations, utilities, and structures
  • Review reports, field documentation, and technical deliverables
  • Ensure compliance with project specifications, standards, and QA/QC procedures
  • Coordinate staffing and resources for technicians, inspectors, and laboratory personnel
  • Support non-conformance resolution and corrective actions as needed
  • Supervise and mentor project staff, inspectors, and technicians
  • Assist with hiring, training, and staff development
  • Support business development, proposals, interviews, and client relationship management
  • Identify opportunities for repeat business and additional services
  • Promote company safety policies and safe field operations
  • Ensure compliance with OSHA and project-specific safety requirements
  • Participate in safety meetings and incident response efforts as needed
