About The Position

Maxan is looking for a highly organized, self-motivated Construction Sales Representative to join our Service Division. Reporting to the Service Manager, this role plays a key part in supporting Maxan’s Service team by proactively pursuing new business opportunities, while maintaining and strengthening relationships with existing clients. The Construction Sales Representative works in close collaboration with the Service Manager to ensure alignment on customer leads, business development efforts, and ongoing client communications. This is an exciting opportunity for someone who thrives in a fast-paced construction environment, enjoys multi-tasking and problem-solving, and is comfortable coordinating between customers and internal departments to keep relationship and the business growing. Our Service team handles a wide range of projects and calls, so the ideal candidate can effectively prioritize tasks, respond promptly to client needs, and stay organized while managing competing demands.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of experience in a sales or business development role within the construction industry.
  • Strong understanding of construction materials, methods, codes, and industry standards.
  • Valid G driver’s license and ability to attend construction sites, client meetings, and industry events as required.
  • Excellent communication, relationship-building, organizational, and time management skills.
  • A driven, self-starter mindset with a proactive approach to identifying opportunities, building relationships, and delivering results.
  • Highly motivated and resourceful, with the ability to take initiative, work independently, and thrive in a fast-paced environment.

Nice To Haves

  • Post-secondary education in construction management, engineering, architecture, business, or a related field is considered an asset.

Responsibilities

  • Proactively pursue and develop new business opportunities through strategic prospecting, relationship-building, networking, and market outreach efforts.
  • Take initiative in identifying, targeting, and securing new clients and projects beyond existing pipelines and inbound opportunities.
  • Represent Maxan at industry associations, networking events, client meetings, and other business development functions to strengthen relationships and generate new opportunities.
  • Lead and support client engagement activities, including coordinating responses to client needs, preparing quotations, delivering presentations, and advancing sales opportunities through the pipeline.
  • Work closely with the Service Estimator to track, follow up on, and drive service quotes and tenders.
  • Champion and promote the Maxan brand, service model, and value proposition in all client interactions and business development initiatives.
  • Continuously build and maintain a strong network within the industry to stay informed of upcoming opportunities, market trends, and potential partnerships.
