About The Position
Seeking a dedicated and experienced Construction Safety Specialist to join a team. This role involves conducting safety inspections, developing and implementing safety programs, delivering safety training, creating safety manuals, collaborating with general contractors, and interacting with governmental agencies to ensure compliance with OSHA regulations.
Requirements
- In-depth knowledge of OSHA 1926 and 1910 (all subparts) is required.
- Self-motivated and proactive in identifying problems and developing effective solutions.
- Strong business acumen with excellent communication skills to interact with all levels of management.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team setting.
Nice To Haves
- Certifications in forklift safety training, aerial lift, and boom safety training are highly desirable.
- OSHA-certified trainer and NYS CR-59 certification preferred (or willingness to obtain certification during employment).
Responsibilities
- Conduct safety inspections of worksites and facilities, identifying workplace hazards and providing recommendations for compliance.
- Develop and implement safety programs tailored to client needs.
- Deliver safety training sessions, including forklift safety, aerial lift, and boom safety training.
- Create comprehensive safety manuals, including site-specific manuals when required.
- Collaborate with general contractors to discuss and enforce safety protocols.
- Interact with governmental agencies to address and mitigate safety concerns.
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of OSHA 1926 and 1910 regulations and ensure client adherence.
