Requirements

BA/BS Occupational Safety or similar curriculum and 6 years of construction safety experience or AA/AS and 8 years of relevant experience or HSD/GED and 10 years of relevant experience. or demonstrated equivalency of experience and/or education.
Commercial construction safety experience.

Nice To Haves

Demonstrated experience in commercial construction safety.
Ability to manage the safety program of multiple phases of construction from demolition thru turn-over.
Knowledge and experience in MEP construction projects.
Experience working in a matrixed organization with multiple stakeholders, owners, team members.
OSHA 30
Microsoft Office proficiency.
Experience with OCIP and CCIP.
Experience managing JHA's on a construction project; identifying hazards and safety controls.

Responsibilities

Implements policies and procedures to assure awareness of and compliance with health and safety requirements of the organization.
Provides technical leadership and functional guidance to ensure regulatory standards are being enforced.
Ensures that quality control procedures are executed to monitor all aspects of regulations.
Serves in a liaison capacity with the resident contract agency representative and other various agencies engaged in promoting environmental safety and health activities.
Drafts all necessary reports to federal, state and local agencies.
Coordinates audits of health and safety programs within the organization.
Assists in the development and conducts basic health, safety and environment (HSE) training to employees.
Communicates programs to enhance employee awareness of prevention and compliance.
