Construction Safety Observer

About The Position
The Construction Safety Observer will conduct daily site safety walks on individual construction sites, evaluate the completeness and effectiveness of contractor hazard assessments, and prepare Site Specific Safety Plans. This role requires strong communication skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work independently. The position also involves supporting client initiatives as requested.
Requirements
- Strong construction background
- Strong Microsoft Office Skills
- Completion of OSHA 30-hour Safety Certification
- Strong communications skills, and attention to detail
- Ability to multi-task, maintain flexibility, travel, and work independently with minimal supervision
- Valid driver's license and a good driving record
Responsibilities
- Conduct daily site safety walks on individual construction sites
- Evaluate the completeness and effectiveness of the contractor's hazard assessments (JHA's, Good Catch, etc).
- When compliance and/or non-conformance is observed, immediately bring the issue to the attention of those individual and key stakeholders as appropriate
- Prepare Site Specific Safety Plans to conformance to Project Manual requirements.
- Support client initiatives as requested
