About The Position

Join a roofing contractor supporting a large-scale data center construction project in Port Washington, WI. This opportunity provides hands-on safety oversight for the installation of commercial roofing systems on a mission-critical facility. The Construction Safety Manager will maintain a strong field presence while working directly with roofing crews, subcontractors, supervision, and project leadership to identify hazards, maintain compliance, and support the safe execution of roofing installation activities, material staging, roof access operations, elevated work, and ongoing construction activities.

Requirements

  • CHST, ASP, CSP, or Higher BCSP Credential Required
  • Minimum 3+ Years of Construction Safety Experience
  • Previous Roofing Installation Experience Required
  • OSHA 30 Construction Certification
  • Current First Aid/CPR Certification
  • Working knowledge of OSHA Construction Standards
  • Working knowledge of Commercial Roofing Safety
  • Working knowledge of Data Center Construction Safety
  • Working knowledge of Fall Protection Systems and Requirements
  • Working knowledge of Leading Edge Work
  • Working knowledge of Roof Access and Egress Procedures
  • Working knowledge of Material Hoisting and Handling Operations
  • Working knowledge of Aerial Lifts & MEWPs
  • Working knowledge of Job Hazard Analysis (JHA)
  • Working knowledge of Incident Investigation & Corrective Actions
  • Working knowledge of Contractor Safety Management
  • Working knowledge of Construction Risk Assessment & Mitigation
  • Working knowledge of Multi-Employer Worksite Safety Coordination

Responsibilities

  • Provide daily field safety oversight for commercial roofing installation activities
  • Maintain a highly visible presence throughout active work areas
  • Conduct routine site inspections, audits, observations, and hazard assessments
  • Monitor roofing activities, material handling operations, and elevated work
  • Review Job Hazard Analyses (JHAs), Activity Hazard Analyses (AHAs), permits, and pre-task plans
  • Ensure compliance with OSHA regulations and project-specific safety requirements
  • Identify unsafe conditions and coordinate timely corrective actions
  • Provide field coaching and reinforce safe work practices with craft personnel
  • Coordinate safety activities with project management, supervision, and subcontractors
  • Participate in incident investigations and corrective action implementation
  • Maintain required safety documentation, inspection records, and compliance reports
  • Promote a proactive safety culture throughout the project

Benefits

  • Per Diem: $125/Day (7 Days Per Week)
  • Completion Bonus: $150/month
