About The Position
Join a contractor supporting a large-scale data center construction project in El Paso, TX. Project scope includes electrical installation, power distribution systems, raceway installation, cable pulling, equipment installation, and mission-critical infrastructure construction. The Construction Safety Manager will provide daily field safety oversight for electrical construction crews, subcontractors, and supervision while ensuring compliance with OSHA requirements and project-specific safety standards.
Requirements
- 4-Year Degree in Safety and 3+ Years of Safety Experience; OR BCSP Certification (CHST Minimum) and 3+ Years of Safety Experience; OR OSHA 510 Certification and 5+ Years of Construction Safety Experience
- Working knowledge of OSHA Construction Standards
- Working knowledge of Electrical Construction Safety
- Working knowledge of Data Center Construction Safety Requirements
- Working knowledge of NFPA 70E Electrical Safety Practices
- Working knowledge of Lockout/Tagout (LOTO)
- Working knowledge of Energized Work Planning
- Working knowledge of Cable Pulling & Raceway Installation
- Working knowledge of Power Distribution Equipment Installation
- Working knowledge of Fall Protection & Elevated Work
- Working knowledge of Aerial Lifts & MEWPs
- Working knowledge of Job Hazard Analysis (JHA)
- Working knowledge of Incident Investigation & Corrective Actions
- Working knowledge of Contractor Safety Management
- Resume clearly reflects experience directly related to the project's scope of work, including the specific trades, activities, and project types supported. Experience with data centers, electrical construction, NFPA 70E, energized work, LOTO, cable pulling, hazard assessments, JHAs, and field safety oversight should be clearly identified.

Responsibilities
- Provide daily field safety oversight for electrical construction operations
- Maintain a highly visible presence throughout active work areas
- Conduct routine site inspections, audits, observations, and hazard assessments
- Monitor cable pulling, electrical equipment installation, material handling, and elevated work activities
- Review Job Hazard Analyses (JHAs), Activity Hazard Analyses (AHAs), permits, and pre-task plans
- Ensure compliance with OSHA regulations and project-specific safety requirements
- Identify unsafe conditions and coordinate timely corrective actions
- Provide field coaching and reinforce safe work practices with craft personnel
- Coordinate safety activities with project management, supervision, and subcontractors
- Participate in incident investigations and corrective action implementation
- Maintain required safety documentation, inspection records, and compliance reports
- Promote a proactive safety culture throughout the project
Benefits
- Pay Rate: $65/hr (Local) | $52/hr (Non-Local with Per Diem)
- Per Diem: $125/Day (7 Days Per Week)
- Completion Bonus: $150/month
- Pay Frequency: Weekly
