Requirements

  • OSHA 30
  • 3+ years of construction safety experience
  • Working knowledge of OSHA Construction Standards
  • Working knowledge of Industrial Construction Safety
  • Working knowledge of Manufacturing Facility Construction
  • Working knowledge of Plant Shutdown & Turnaround Safety
  • Working knowledge of Demolition Activities
  • Working knowledge of Mechanical Equipment Installation
  • Working knowledge of Electrical Conduit Installation
  • Working knowledge of Crane & Rigging Operations
  • Working knowledge of Material Handling Operations
  • Working knowledge of Fall Protection & Elevated Work Activities
  • Working knowledge of Job Hazard Analysis (JHA) Development
  • Working knowledge of Incident Investigation & Root Cause Analysis
  • Working knowledge of Contractor Safety Management
  • Working knowledge of Construction Risk Assessment & Mitigation

Nice To Haves

  • Manufacturing facility construction or shutdown experience
  • Mechanical construction experience

  • Experience supporting crane and rigging operations
  • CHST, ASP, CSP, or other BCSP credential

Responsibilities

  • Oversee daily safety activities throughout all phases of the shutdown and expansion project
  • Conduct routine site inspections, audits, and risk assessments
  • Monitor demolition, equipment installation, electrical conduit, and mechanical construction activities
  • Support crane operations, rigging activities, and material handling operations
  • Monitor contractor compliance with OSHA regulations and project safety requirements
  • Lead incident investigations and corrective action implementation
  • Review Job Hazard Analyses (JHAs), permits, and pre-task plans
  • Maintain safety documentation, reports, and compliance records
  • Partner with field supervision and subcontractors to proactively identify and mitigate hazards
  • Promote a positive safety culture across all project activities
