About The Position

Join a contractor supporting a QTS data center construction project in Fayetteville, GA. This opportunity provides hands-on safety oversight for the installation of dock equipment and overhead door systems within a large-scale mission-critical construction environment. The Construction Safety Manager will maintain a strong field presence while working directly with craft personnel, subcontractors, supervision, and project leadership to identify hazards, maintain compliance, and support the safe execution of dock equipment installation, material handling systems, overhead door installation, equipment staging, and associated construction activities. This is an excellent opportunity to support a high-profile data center project while working in one of the fastest-growing sectors of commercial construction.

Requirements

  • OSHA 30 Certification
  • Minimum 5+ years of construction safety experience
  • Working knowledge of OSHA Construction Standards
  • Working knowledge of Commercial Construction Safety
  • Working knowledge of Data Center Construction Safety Requirements
  • Working knowledge of Material Handling Operations
  • Working knowledge of Equipment Installation Safety
  • Working knowledge of Overhead Door Installation Activities
  • Working knowledge of Fall Protection & Elevated Work
  • Working knowledge of Aerial Lifts & MEWPs
  • Working knowledge of Powered Industrial Equipment
  • Working knowledge of Job Hazard Analysis (JHA)
  • Working knowledge of Incident Investigation & Corrective Actions
  • Working knowledge of Contractor Safety Management
  • Working knowledge of Construction Risk Assessment & Mitigation

Responsibilities

  • Provide daily field safety oversight for dock equipment and overhead door installation activities
  • Maintain a highly visible presence throughout active work areas
  • Conduct routine site inspections, audits, observations, and hazard assessments
  • Monitor equipment installation, material handling operations, and elevated work activities
  • Review Job Hazard Analyses (JHAs), Activity Hazard Analyses (AHAs), permits, and pre-task plans
  • Ensure compliance with OSHA regulations and project-specific safety requirements
  • Identify unsafe conditions and coordinate timely corrective actions
  • Provide field coaching and reinforce safe work practices with craft personnel
  • Coordinate safety activities with project management, supervision, and subcontractors
  • Participate in incident investigations and corrective action implementation
  • Maintain required safety documentation, inspection records, and compliance reports
  • Promote a proactive safety culture throughout the project
